A Scots mum has shared hilarious before and after photos of her daughter's first day of school - which saw the youngster completely floored by all the excitement of starting her journey in primary education.Stacey McCullagh said she was "emotional but happy" to wave four-year-old Lyla off on her first day in primary one at St Mark's Primary School in Barrhead, East Renfrewshire on Wednesday.But the 40-year-old was left in fits of giggles when she arrived home later that afternoon to find the girl conked out on the doorstep after what had apparently been a draining and tiresome first day.In the photos, which were shared with the Record, Lyla is pictured in the morning looking bright-eyed and bushy-tailed while dressed immaculately in her new uniform, ready for a day of fun.

But in another image, taken at the end of the day, the school-starter can be seen catching flies on the front porch while looking slightly dishevelled, with her bag thrown to the side and her head resting on her sister's lap, who grins into the camera.Stacey told the Record: "I felt a bit of mixed emotions because Lyla is my youngest and so it's the last time I'll get to do the first day of primary school."I was excited for her to go in, though, because she hadn't stopped talking about it all summer.
