Scots catch incredible glimpse of Northern Lights after huge solar flare from sun

Scots were able to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights last night after a massive solar flare erupted from the sun. Radiation burst out from the sun on October 28 before reaching Earth last night after a 92 million mile journey.

The electromagnetic particles resulted in a colourful display in the atmosphere - which was visible from parts of the Northern Hemisphere.And Scotland was one of the best places to capture the incredible night time spectacle.
