Scotland set for heatwave and thunderstorms next week as temperatures to hit 29C

Scotland is expected to be hit by a giant heatwave next week with torrential rain also expected to batter large parts of the country.

The country will see temperatures reach 29C from Monday which will bring an ‘increased risk of thunderstorms’.Weather experts are warning the public to brace for ‘hot nights’ with temperatures staying in the teens overnight.

Areas around  Glasgow,  Edinburgh  and  Perth  are anticipated to get the best of the scorching June weather on those days.
