Scared parents and kids hide from pack of dogs 'on the loose' outside nursery

An Ayrshire dad has told of the moment he had to hide in a nursery to protect his child from a pack of out of control dogs.Nick Alcock was one of a group of terrified parents who had to barricade themselves inside Kilmaurs Early Childhood Centre after German Shepherds ran towards them.The dogs were spotted charging down the street just yards away from the East Ayrshire village nursery last Wednesday (March 22).A video taken by Nick from outside the building shows the dogs run down a residential street while barking at passers by.Nick can be heard shouting “this is taking the p**s,” before yelling “oh my god” as he rushes back inside and closes the door.Other parents can be seen huddled inside the entrance way as they shelter from the dogs.Dad-of-two Nick, 37, was out picking his son up from the nursery when the incident occurred.The stunned parent told Ayrshire Live: “All the parents were out collecting our kids from the nursery.“Next thing a pack of four German Shepherds come running up the road barking at everyone.“We rushed back inside and closed the door.

It was terrifying.“Another parent who was outside was attacked, she was jumped on by one and had to use her child’s scooter to fend it off.
