While the death of Queen Elizabeth came at a time fraught by royal drama with the scandal involving Prince Andrew and the continued attacks by Prince Harry and Meghan, royal experts make it clear that the late monarch would be filled with nothing but pride over the way the Prince and Princess of Wales have conducted themselves.
Speaking to OK! former BBC Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond told explained: "I think our late Queen would be immensely proud of the way William and Catherine have immersed themselves in the job of being Prince and Princess of Wales." Pointing out that a life spent under the scrutiny of the public eye while balancing family life is something that the late Queen knew only too well, Jennie explains that Prince William and Kate have been the steadying influence the monarchy so desperately needed in a time of great change. "She had to guide the family through so many crises during her long reign, and her last years were blighted by Harry and Meghan’s decision to step back as senior Royals - and then leave the fold entirely - and also by the scandal surrounding Prince Andrew", Jennie said. "So the ship was rocking quite badly at the time of her death but she would be gratified that the key working royals, and especially William and Kate, have managed to steady it so successfully. "The Queen knew better than anyone about the pressures of a very high profile royal job whilst trying to bring up a young family.
