Ricky Gervais
Ricky Dene Gervais (born 25 June 1961) is an English stand-up comedian, actor, writer, film producer, director and musician. He is perhaps best known for creating, writing and acting in the British television series The Office (2001–2003). He has won seven BAFTA Awards, five British Comedy Awards, two Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and the Rose d'Or twice (2006 and 2019), as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. In 2007, he was placed at No. 11 on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups and at No. 3 on the updated 2010 list. In 2010, he was named on the Time 100 list of the world's most influential people.

RICKY Gervais has revealed he spends just eight minutes a day writing his hit Netflix scripts. The comic says he doesn't labor over scenes or sit for hours procrastinating at his London home when it comes to penning his award-winning series Afterlife.

Ricky, 59, explained: "I potter around, I have more than one thing on the go, so my attention span can be eight minutes at a time. "I look at it like this – if I am writing a script and I have got six months to write, I only have to come up with a couple of minutes a day. "That couple of minutes on screen is an afternoon’s filming. "And because I am writing it for me to direct it everything is a bit quicker." He said it does sound "lazy" but his new routine has actually taken the pressure off..
