Residents evacuated in huge house fire as roof collapses...firefighters are still tackling the blaze

A number of homes have been evacuated after a huge fire ripped through a house in Bolton. Seven fire engines are currently still tackling the blaze on Copthorne Drive in Breightmet.

A number of other terraced properties are also thought to have been damaged. The blaze is believed to involve a shed, fencing and the guttering and roof space of terraced properties.

All nearby properties have been safely evacuated, according to Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service. Video footage appears to show the roof of one property partially collapsed.
