Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered by history as the longest serving British monarch after reigning for 70 years. However, to her closest family she will be remembered best as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In the hours leading up to the announcement of her death, her family rushed to Balmoral Castle in Scotland to be by her side - and joining them was Prince Harry.
Harry was already in the UK with his wife Meghan Markle and the pair were set to attend an event in London on Thursday night, a plan they cancelled upon learning of the Queen's ill health.

An insight into the pair’s special bond was shown when Harry asked his grandmother to join him for a playful video to promote the Invictus Games back in 2016.
