Police are probing the deaths of eight people at a notorious Glasgow hotel during lockdown. Cops confirmed four woman and four men have died at the Alexander Thomas Hotel since March.

Only one of the deaths which happened at the Argyle Street establishment is being treated as non-suspicious, with the other seven cases treated as unexplained.

The Daily Record reported in July two people had died at the hotel on the same day. A 25-year-old man  was found dead  just five minutes before paramedics were called to treat a 44-year-old woman, who later died at the scene on July 28.

The three-star hotel - named after the famous architect Alexander Thomson - takes normal booking from paying customers but police have previously described it as.
