La Liga chairman Javier Tebas has revealed talks are taking place between clubs in order to revive the European Super League.
Plans to develop a breakaway league involving some of Europe’s elite sides were revealed back in April, with both Manchester United and Manchester City involved.
The two clubs joined together with Premier League rivals Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham, as well as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan to become founding members of the proposed competition.
The plans were met with widespread condemnation, leading to protests from supporters and, eventually, all six of the Premier League clubs pulling out.
