Perth and Kinross motorists who leave their engines running when stopped could soon be hit with a fine - but only as a last resort.Councillors unanimously approved plans for Perth and Kinross Council to adopt anti-idling measures at a meeting this week.Transport emissions account for just over half - 52 per cent - of all carbon dioxide emissions in Perth and Kinross.PKC is committed to reducing emissions and improving air quality as part of its climate change strategy and action plan. The anti-idling measures were approved at a virtual meeting of PKC's environment and infrastructure committee on Monday, March 14.
