‘Passionate and talented’ Cheshire rugby player dies following off-road buggy crash

Tributes have been paid to an “extremely talented” former Winnington Park Rugby Club player who died following an off-road buggy crash.

William Glendinning, 18, died after suffering serious head injuries in a collision on farmland in Hertfordshire. Family and friends said William was “loved by everyone” and will be “greatly missed”.

He had formerly played with Winnington Park Rugby Club in Northwich and was also a keen pianist and actor, CheshireLive reports.

The incident happened at around 5.15pm on Friday, September 23, with Hertfordshire Police called to farmland off St James Way, by Moor Hall Farm in Bishop's Stortford.
