Overwatch 2: Release date and how to apply for beta test

The highly anticipated sequel to Overwatch has announced a beta testing event will soon be taking place. Overwatch 2 will contain similar gameplay styles to the first game, complete with highly-competitive matches where players can choose different champions to play as depending on their playstyle.

However, while many aspects of the game should feel familiar to seasoned Overwatch players, from what we have seen so far the new 5v5 format will have its fair share of additions to hopefully make matches feel fresh.

According to the Overwatch website: "This change in team composition will allow every player to have more individual impact than ever before and will transform tank heroes into aggressive bruisers who pack raw, game-changing power in each of their kits." Overwatch 2 will launch on a wide range of platforms including PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, no specific release date has yet been announced.
