Liam Payne

Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.

He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.

Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

Liam Gallagher
William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the 1990s and 2000s, and later fronted the rock band Beady Eye in the early 2010s, before beginning a solo career after the dissolution of both bands. One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

One Direction's Liam Payne tragically passed away at the young age of 31 after a shocking fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The devastating news was delivered to BBC Breakfast viewers by Naga Munchetty and Ben Thompson on Thursday (October 17) morning, where they were joined by BBC's Culture and Media Editor Katie Razzall to reflect on the star's career.

Katie commented: "You've got to always feel sorry for the band members that don't reach the heights of fame, often one of them does.

You can sort of see it happened a bit with Take That with Robbie Williams going off and then becoming a very successful solo artist.The same, of course, happened to Harry Styles.
