Omri Katz Speaks Out About Not Being in 'Hocus Pocus 2'

The actor played Max, a Los Angeles teen who moves to Salem, in the original movie that premiered in 1993. Fans wondered for a while if he’d be included in the forthcoming sequel, which stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy, and he’s finally talking about the sequel. “People have been asking, and unfortunately, I’m not in it,” he confirmed to EW.
I would have loved to be involved. I feel bad for the original fan base saying we aren’t because I’m sure they wanted to see us reprise our roles,” he went on to say.
He also praised the “new direction” the sequel will take without his involvement, and praised the studio for “trying to attract a new fan base.” “I think it’ll be good for everyone who loved the original!
