A nurse has been charged after she allegedly cut a dying man's foot off so that she could put it on display at her family's taxidermy store.

Mary K. Brown, a hospice nurse from Wisconsin was given the role to look after the man in his final days but instead reportedly chopped his foot off for her own personal benefit and left him in severe pain. The sick woman who brutally amputated his frostbitten foot without his or a doctor's permission was charged with physical abuse of an elder person and intentionally causing great bodily harm and mayhem.

The intent behind the 38 year old nurse's alleged twisted crime was to preserve the frostbitten foot and put it on display at her family's taxidermy shop, the Daily Star reports.According to a criminal complaint, the woman apparently hacked off the dying victim's right foot May 27 without his approval or a doctor’s permission as she excitedly told a fellow nurse she was going to sickly exhibit it next to a sign saying ''wear your boots, kids''.

A nurse who was present when Brown allegedly removed the man's foot said the helpless patient was moaning and squeezing her hand tightly.
