Northampton Saints stars swapped disciplines to take part came along last week. The match raised £1,500 for two local charities which provide support to the terminally ill.
The match, dubbed "The Battle of the Brands" was arranged between staff at Northampton Metro Bank and builders merchant giant Travis Perkins.
It was held last Sunday, July 10, at the Dog and Duck Stadium in Wellingborough. The teams received some help from two Northampton Rugby FC players, fly-half James Grayson and winger Ollie Sleightholme. , who took to the pitch to help the charities. This will be given to Cynthia Spencer Hospice and Niamh's Next Step. Niamh's Next Step aims to raise awareness and money for Neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer that affects around 100 children each year in the UK.
