However, My Mum, Your Dad fans were pleased during Monday (23 September) night's episode when the parents were given the opportunity to disconnect their kids from watching them.

During the show, viewers were introduced to the snug, a room where couples can go for some privacy, which also features a switch they can turn to stop the house's live stream to the kids' bunker.

Reacting to the new addition, viewers took to X to share their thoughts, with one writing: "OH THAT'S CHEEKY. So they'll be able to cut off the feed to the bunker!!!

Modern Family‘s Eric Stonestreet has said he conceived a spin-off idea for the show that got shot down and will likely never materialise.Stonestreet’s idea would have followed the lives of Cameron (Stonestreet), Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), and their daughter, Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons), after leaving California for Missouri.However, the sitcom star has suggested that the window of opportunity for the spin-off has now passed.“I don’t think it’s potential anymore,” Stonestreet said in an in-depth interview with Graham Bensinger. “They had their chance.
