Tony Watt’s numbers have gone up this season – but the Motherwell star says performances have stayed the same.The striker stands on eight goals for the season prior to facing Dundee United tonight, with his contract due to expire next summer.
He netted seven times last term.Watt has played more games for the Steelmen than any other club in his career, and even though he is playing wider in manager Graham Alexander’s system, the 27-year-old says his performances haven’t changed from last term.He said: “The last couple of games I’ve not really had as many shots.
It’s a start to the season that I want to build on. I don’t want to sit on what I have already scored this season.“I want to keep going.
