More Scots students hit by virus outbreak as 46 test positive at Dundee flats next to Abertay University

Dundee has soared to 45. Health chiefs confirmed that more residents at Parker House have caught the bug, as hundreds of others remain in self-isolation.

The virus has also spread to a separate housing block - Meadowside Halls - with one positive case amongst the 59 Abertay University students there.

Contract tracing remains under way for those affected as students across the country face a weekend of being banned from going to pubs, parties or restaurants in a bid to curb the virus spread.
