Millions of United Utilities customers in the region who get their water supply from reservoirs in the Lake District are being asked to save as much water as they can.

United Utilities says reservoirs such as Haweswater and Thirlmere, in Cumbria, are currently 'very low' at 40% - rather than 70% which is expected in September.
