Meghan Markle Reveals When She Learned She Could Make a Difference With Her Fashion Choices

If you didn’t know, Meghan has been making an effort in investing in female-run companies and small businesses.
In a new interview with The New York Times, Meghan opened up about her latest investment venture – handbag company Cesta Collective – and when she learned she could make a difference with her fashion choices. Keep reading to find out more… “I spend a lot of time just Googling, looking for brands,” she told the publication. “When people are online looking for things or reading things, I’m trying to find great new designers, especially in different territories.” Erin Ryder, founder of Cesta Collective, reveals that after Meghan was seen carrying one of their handbags, they had “more sales in one day than we’ve ever had.” Meghan received a thank-you note from the brands founders, Erin and Courtney Weinblatt Fasciano, and she later offered to become an investor, holding a minority stake in the brand. Meghan noted to the NYT that she realized in 2017 how much attention was drawn to her fashion choices, and this led to her wanting to continuing helping smaller brands.
Showrtly after her engagement to Prince Harry, she carried a Strathberry handbag to her first royal engagement and it sold out within 11 minutes!
