Lots of casting news for the upcoming Mean Girls: The Musical movie was revealed this week. The teen cast of the movie was rounded out a few days ago and now two original stars from the 2004 movie have joined the lineup as well.

The musical film is based on the hit Broadway show from a few years ago. Tina Fey is returning as the writer of the movie musical and she will produce the film for Paramount.

She received a Tony Award nomination for writing the musical’s book and her husband Jeff Richmond co-wrote the music.

The 2004 movie version of Mean Girls, which starred Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams, was a hit at the box office and became a cult phenomenon.
