Those who grew up in the 90s and early 00s will now probably know the agony of waiting in hope for their overplucked eyebrows to grow back.
Martine McCutcheon, who starred in Love Actually with some very thin and previously trendy arches, feels this pain now too. The star has been chatting on her Instagram about growing tired of waiting for her eyebrows to grow back after years of overplucking.
She also shares that she’s made the decision to permanently draw some hairs back on the sparse mid sections and non-existent tails of her brows. “It took me a while but I decided to stop waiting for my brows to grow back after the 90s plucking!” she captions the gorgeous before and after shot. “Absolutely loving my beautiful brows by the amazing @ jademendes.” “Can’t believe how natural and beautiful they look, what an artist you are,” she adds, dishing out praise on her talented technician. The images Martine shares show just what a difference microblading has made to her features. The added fullness and appearance of thicker and fluffier brows gives her complexion a very youthful look, with her cheekbones now looking more pronounced and her eyes even larger.
What a good pair of eyebrows can do for the face, eh? Martine isn’t the only celeb to opt for thicker brows after turning forty.
