Amazon recently announced that from January 19, it will no longer accept payments made using Visa credit cards, prompting a surge in consumers searching online for the best deals on Mastercard alternatives.
The world’s largest online marketplace told customers by email on Wednesday that the decision to stop accepting the payment method was due to "the high fees Visa charges for processing credit card transactions", however, customers will still be able to use Visa debit cards to pay for goods once the deadline passes.
