Manchester restaurants, bars and other venues are being asked to help slow the spread of coronavirus by opening up their toilet facilities for people to wash their hands.
Greater Manchester's night time economy advisor Sacha Lord asked venues to do their bit to protect the public in a statement released today. "We all have a duty to protect ourselves and others and I urge all businesses at this time to ensure there are enough facilities available for customers and staff to wash their hands easily and often," he said. "I also urge venues to open doors and extend these facilities to passers-by, advertising hand washing facilities where possible."
