The incident happened on St Helens Road in Bolton early this morning, December 21. Police were called shortly before 5.40 am to a report of a collision involving three cars on St Helens Road.
Two vehicles had collided and then hit a parked car at the side of the road. One of the drivers, in his 20's, was rushed to hospital by paramedics after sustaining serious injuries.
St Helens Road was closed off between Brandwood Street and Church Avenue, with traffic and buses diverted from the scene. It remained closed throughout the day until around 4.30 pm this
