Man charged with nine counts of rape after investigation into child sexual abuse

A man has been charged with dozens of sexual offences following a police investigation into child sexual abuse. Detectives launched a probe after receiving concerns regarding the welfare of a child and possible sexual exploitation.

Carl Jones, 57, has now been charged with a total 40 sexual offences, including nine counts of rape of a child under 13, one count of attempted rape of a child under 13.
