crash on Stamford Square on Wednesday morning.Firefighters cut a man and a woman free from the wreckage.Witnesses say a man was getting out of his parked car when a BMW and a Mercedes crashed into each other and careered across the road into him.He appeared to have trapped his leg in his car door and was later airlifted to hospital.It's thought the BMW was travelling along Stamford Square towards Ashton when it crashed with the Mercedes, which was pulling out of Granville Street.At least one of the cars then smashed into a white Vauxhall, which was parked on the pavement outside the derelict Swan pub and A&J Convenience Store.Muhammed Ali, who works in the  convenience store, said: "It was a proper bang.
