Major road in Stockport shut for several hours after crash involving bus
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA major road in Stockport has been shut for several hours due to a crash involving a bus. A double decker Stagecoach vehicle was among several vehicles involved in the smash in Gatley Road, Cheadle, this afternoon (Friday, March 18).
Pictures from the scene show damage to the front of the bus, as well as a red van and a black Mini. Eyewitnesses reported seeing police at the scene.
Following the incident, Gatley Road was shut in both directions between Cambridge Road and Church Road. READ MORE: Bernard Manning's Embassy Club licence suspended after two customers knifed According to the traffic monitoring service Inrix, the road was closed at about 2.50pm.
Traffic was diverted along nearby roads as a result. A spokesperson for North West Ambulance confirmed that no one was seriously injured in the crash.
