Machete and drugs found after 'fight' in Gorton - a boy, 17, has been charged

A teenage boy has been charged after police officers found a machete and drugs following a 'fight' in Gorton. Officers were called to the scene on Mount Road at around 7.30pm on Saturday evening (April 16).

They recovered a machete and suspected cannabis. A 17-year-old boy - who cannot be named for legal reasons - has now been charged.

A post on the GMP Manchester East Facebook page said: "#CHARGE | A teenager has been charged in connection with the recovery of a machete in Gorton. "The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with possession of a bladed article and possession of cannabis.
