Following the long-awaited return of ITV’s Love Island, paramedics were rushed into the villa to treat one of the islanders on the first night.

Just hours after host Maya Jama revealed new bombshell Zachariah Noble would be entering the villa, Catherine Agbaje was seen by paramedics after having a “funny turn”.

According to insiders, the star became unwell the day filming began and cameras stopped rolling to allow her to be seen by the medical team.

A source told The Sun: “Her welfare was the priority and filming with the other islanders and Maya was stopped until she was feeling better.” They revealed that the islander took a turn due to the “heat, nerves and not eating enough”, however, returned to filming not long after. They continued: “Either that or the shock of being paired with Andre Furtado was a little too much to handle.” A source told OK!: "Catherine was seen instantly by one of the 24 hour medics which resulted in a short pause in filming, once the medic was happy with her temperature she was fine to continue with the rest of filming." Just hours before the paramedics entered, the villa welcomed the first bombshell of the series.
