Lord of the Rings’ Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd reunite after 20 years
ok.co.ukThe Lord of the Rings fellowship – well, part of it – reconvened for another meeting this weekend to celebrate 20 years since the second film in the famous trilogy was released.
Actors Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd– who played hobbits Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee, Merry Brandybuck and Pippin Took – enjoyed a night out which concluded with some seriously delicious-looking desserts.
Lost star Dominic, 45, shared a heart-warming snap of the group as they posted around a dining table. In the caption, he described the dinner as "one of those successful smash it out of the park kick it into row Z slap my a**e and call me Lucy" meals, adding: "[If] any of it was recorded none of us would work again." Dominic also shared an iconic photo we dodn't know we needed, as the foursome posed for a Beatles-inspired snap inspired by the Liverpool band's iconic With The Beatles album cover.
Elijah, 41, drew the 'short' straw and posed as drummer Ringo Starr. Dominic captioned the snap: "How you livin? #myclan #squadgoals #withthebeatles #becurious #hobbits." The four men have remained close friends ever since their days as barefoot hobbits.
