An infant in Phoenix, Arizona tested positive for fentanyl in the second such case police have encountered in less than a week. Phoenix Police responded to the latest case at 10 a.m. local time on Wednesday, discovering an infant that tested positive for exposure to fentanyl.The infant was treated and is expected to survive, with police saying the baby was placed in the care of the Department of Child Safety, according to a report from Fox 10.

Two fathers have been accused of shooting each other's daughters during the course of a road rage altercation in Florida this week.  William Hale, 36, and Frank Allison, 43, have both been charged with attempted murder following a driving dispute that resulted in the two drivers allegedly firing shots at each other that struck the other person's daughter, WOFL-TV reported. The Nassau County Sheriff's Office says both parties were speeding and "brake checking each other" and seemingly were playing a "cat and mouse game" while driving erratically along US Highway 1 in Nassau County, Florida.

The mother of missing Georgia toddler Quinton Simon, who was last seen one week ago, was photographed leaving her family’s home Wednesday for the first time since the boy disappeared.  Leilani Simon, 22, was spotted leaving her family’s Savannah house on Wednesday afternoon before returning shortly thereafter. The two suspects charged in the brutal slaying of a Georgia high school football star Elijah DeWitt gunned down in a Dave & Buster’s parking lot last week are expected to make their first court appearance Wednesday morning following their extradition back from South Carolina.  The hearing for Kemare Bryan, 18, and Chandler Richardson, 19, both from Lawrenceville, Georgia, was scheduled to begin around 8 a.m. in Gwinnett County Magistrate Court – hours before mourners are expected to gather for the funeral of 18-year-old DeWitt at Jefferson High School at 6 p.m.  Bryan and Richardson are facing charges of felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies in connection with the murder of DeWitt – a standout wide receiver nicknamed "Eazy E" by NFL legend Cam Newton himself.  In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital on Tuesday, DeWitt’s longtime girlfriend, Bailey Reidling detailed the aftermath of the harrowing shooting that unfolded during the couple’s date night with friends on Oct.

A massive brawl broke out at a high school in Baltimore County recently as parents and community activists raise the alarm on children's safety.  Cell phone video captured by a bystander shows two groups of students swinging wildly at each other in the hallways of Lansdowne High School.  Lansdowne High School educates about 1,345 students in Baltimore County, Maryland.  (Google Maps) The school's principal tried to break up the altercation and was attacked, according to Fox 45. "How can our kids learn when they're in this fight or flight mode? We wonder why the grades and proficiency levels are down so low because how can these kids learn when they're surrounded by violence," Darren Badillo, a Baltimore County Parent and Student Coalition member, told the local news outlet.  Testing has shown that many students in Baltimore are falling behind.

An Indiana man accused of smuggling three migrants crashed his car during a high-speed chase in Uvalde County recently, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.  Richard Diaz, 21, allegedly told police that he was being paid $3,000 per person to smuggle the migrants from the border community of Eagle Pass to San Antonio.  He was charged with two counts of human smuggling causing serious bodily injury, Texas DPS spokesman Christopher Olivarez told Fox News Digital.  The driver sped off during an apparent traffic stop in Uvalde County, Texas.  (Texas Department of Public Safety) Dashcam footage shows the driver accelerate away from an apparent traffic stop at night. As the driver sped through what appears to be a residential area, his vehicle spun out of control and careened off the road into a pole.  One of the migrants suffered a severe head injury, according to Texas DPS.Two of the migrants were males from Mexico, while the third was a woman from Guatemala.  The driver's vehicle careened off the road and wrecked into a pole.  (Texas Department of Public Safety) Diaz told the responding officer after the wreck that he "panicked."  It's the latest incident of human smuggling to strike Uvalde, which like other communities near the U.S.-Mexico border, has been inundated with migrants in recent months.  One of the migrants suffered a severe head injury, according to Texas DPS.  (Texas Department of Public Safety) Last month, a 17-year-old girl who police say was "involved in human smuggling" crashed a vehicle in downtown Uvalde, leaving two people dead and 10 others injured.  "The nightmare of the border crisis, when will it end?"
