While reflecting on her relationship with Liam in a recent project, Miley said that their chemistry in the movie was “undeniable.” “I think one of the elements that made that movie feel so special was it was watching two very young people fall in love with each other, which was happening in real life and in real time,” she said. Miley noted that her ex-husband was one of three actors on the shortlist to play her love interest Will in the movie.
