Lane closed on Mancunian Way with traffic expected through rush hour

Congestion is expected on a main road through Manchester city centre through rush hour this morning due to a lane closure. One lane has been shut off on the Mancunian Way eastbound carriageway.

It is closed near the London Road exit slip way due to a carriageway defect, according to Transport for Greater Manchester. Work is being carried out at the scene.

In a tweet, TfGM said: "Mancunian Way - 1 lane closed Eastbound at the London Road exit slip. This is due to a carriageway defect.
