Lanarkshire gift shop forced to close whilst fallen traffic lights are removed

Strathaven gift shop had a bizarre start to the day earlier this week after traffic lights toppled onto the building. Say-It-Gifts were forced to close for part of the day after the towering pole ended up leaning over its entrance.

Eyewitnesses say a passing lorry, stacked with bails of hay, accidentally knocked the lights over when taking a turn between Townhead Street and Lethame Road in the town.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
