Kyle Walker has revealed he sometimes wishes his children's upbringing was different. The Manchester City player opened up about his sons' childhood on his BBC podcast, You'll Never Beat Kyle Walker, and insisted they are not spoilt despite his immense fortune.

Kyle, 34, believed to earn around £160,000 per week, shares four sons, Roman, 11, Riaan, seven, Reign, five, and four-month-old Rezon, with wife Annie Kilner.

He is also father to son Kairo, four, and daughter Kinara, 12 months, with Lauryn Goodman. Despite being worth £27million, Kyle revealed his sons "entertain themselves" and sometimes he wishes their childhood reflected his own upbringing on a council estate in the Sharrow area of Sheffield. "I say now have the privileges of having nice things but the kids have to entertain themselves. They play with their brothers and that's it," he said. "I wish sometimes I could put them on an estate to mingle with different people and have different friends when I was growing up you'd go and call for your mates." The dad-of-six's comments come after he faced Lauryn, 33, in court over child maintenance payments. The pair welcomed their first child, son Kairo, while Kyle had briefly split from wife Annie.

It was then revealed in December that Kyle is the father of Lauryn's second child, following months of speculation. Honour Judge Edward Hess criticised Lauryn and delivered a judgement, stating that she had not shown a "good track record of telling the truth" and was often "often difficult, unreasonable and demanding." He also dismissed many of her demands, concluding that she was "not reliable" while claiming Kyle "acted with dignity and generosity".
