Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Steven Gerrard after his charge from the Scottish FA. The Rangers manager questioned whether a the robust challenge on Alfredo Morelos against Dundee United earlier this month would have been punished more severely had the Colombian made the tackle.

United defender Ryan Edwards did not receive a yellow card but many observers thought his actions were deserving of a red. Following Gerrard's comments, the SFA issued him with a notice of complaint, to which his club reacted angrily in an official statement.

And Dalglish believes the upcoming hearing next month shouldn't be the end of the matter - because Rangers and Gerrard should go after the governing body for their accusations.
