James Tavernier 'not for sale' as Rangers take firm stance on West Ham United interest

James Tavernier. The free-scoring full-back has been on the radar of Hammers boss David Moyes for the last two windows.Moyes is keen to bring in another right-back with Ryan Fredericks currently out injured and reports down south claim he is ready to make a move.

Tavernier, who has now passed the 50 goal mark for Rangers, is a deal Moyes would be keen on before the close of the window.

London sources, however, fear the transfer could be too rich for them because Rangers don’t want to sell and Tavernier is also happy at Ibrox.Gerrard has made it clear he is looking to build up his squad.

He has already shown his strength this summer by knocking back big-money bids from Lille for Alfredo Morelos and Leeds United for Ryan Kent.
