Ethan Shanfeld Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are reuniting for a new Broadway production of Samuel Beckett’s “Waiting for Godot,” directed by Jamie Lloyd.

Reeves will play Estragon and Winter will play Vladimir in the show, which will open at an ATG theater in fall 2025. “We’re incredibly excited to be on stage together and work with the great Jamie Lloyd in one of our favorite plays,” the “Bill & Ted” co-stars said in a joint statement. “Waiting for Godot” is produced by The Jamie Lloyd Company, ATG Productions, Bad Robot Live and Gavin Kalin Productions.

101 Productions will serve as general manager. Reeves and Winter’s on-screen history began in 1989 with the comedy adventure “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.” They followed up the madness with 1991’s “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey” and reunited once again nearly three decades later, in 2020’s “Bill & Ted Face the Music.” Making his Broadway debut, Reeves is one of Hollywood’s most consistent movie stars, kicking ass and taking names in the “John Wick” film series and starring in “The Matrix” films.

His other credits include “Constantine,” “My Own Private Idaho,” “Dangerous Liaisons,” “The Gift,” “Parenthood,” “Something’s Gotta Give” and “Always Be My Maybe.” An actor, writer and director, Winter recently wrapped production on “Adulthood,” which he helmed and stars in opposite Josh Gad and Kaya Scodelario.
