A South Lanarkshire-based group set up for older people are celebrating after meeting up for the first time in two years.The Recycled Teenagers held a friendship lunch at the Burnside Hotel in Rutherglen last week.The group, which regularly enjoyed day trips in Scotland and weekends away throughout Britain before lockdown, were only too happy as soon as restrictions were lifted to take the chance to meet up again.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Gilly Feron told Lanarkshire Live: “ VASLan’s fund was set up to help get older people back into the community and having a Recycled Teenagers friendship lunch was a perfect way of doing this. “The money allowed us to lay on a lunch and have a murder mystery event for everyone to join in.
