Just days after saying the movie business “is over” as a cultural force, Jerry Seinfeld is decrying the decline of comedy on television.
He blames “the extreme left and P.C. c**p.” In a new interview with David Remnick for the New Yorker Radio Hour, the Seinfeld creator maintained that “people always need comedy” in their lives.
He observed that “it used to be that you would go home at the end of the day…People would go, ‘Oh, Cheers is on. M*A*S*H is on.
Oh, Mary Tyler Moore is on. All in the Family is on.” No more, says, Seinfeld. “Where is it? Where is it? This is the result of the extreme left and P.C.
