After 25,000 complaints were lodged with the press regulator, the column was ultimately withdrawn.The Sun issued an apology and expressed regret over publishing the article.
Clarkson himself admitted he was "profoundly sorry" and conceded that he had "completely messed up".During an interview with Miriam on Irish broadcaster RTE, Lisa, who has gained popularity as a fan-favourite on Clarkson's Farm, revealed that the couple often hold contrasting views.
She shared: "He'll read me his column sometimes and I will say 'I disagree with every word of that'. He wrote something about Jane Eyre the other day and I said 'that is so lad, I disagree with everything on it'," reports the Express. "But he will be provocative for that reason.
