Jennifer Lawrence is opening up about her best known character, Katniss Everdeen. The now 32-year-old actress played the fan favorite book character in all four Hunger Games movies, opposite Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, as Peeta and Gale.
In a new interview, Jennifer opened up about the possibility of returning the role, and her answer might have a lot of fans happy. Keep reading to find out more… While doing promo for her upcoming movie, No Hard Feelings, Jennifer revealed that she’s open to bringing back Katniss. “Oh, my God – totally!” she told Variety during a Zoom video interview. “If Katniss ever could ever come back into my life, 100 percent.” The interview also included her co-star, Andrew Barth Feldman, who revealed he was only about 10 when the movies first came out. “I was probably about 10 years old.
I read the books and then the movies came out and it was a phenomenon,” he shared. “I watched them recently just for fun and I did text [Lawrence] when it was happening.
Those movies are so good. That whole genre didn’t exist yet. Nor did we know that genre of film incorporate such a huge and truthful and beautiful performance from Jen.” While Jennifer ultimately won the role, there were nine other actresses who could’ve possibly played Katniss.
