The 34-year-old enjoyed a stint in MMA with Bellator but after a defeat to Austin Clem, he decided to try his hand in boxing.
He revealed that Fury's opponent, Anthony Taylor got in touch with him over a potential bout with Chalmers which he turned down as he eyes his first steps in the field.
The bout will take place in Cleveland, Ohio later this month. With a debut in the ring looming this year, Fury's next opponent following the former American MMA fighter could be named. "He messaged me about six weeks ago saying give us your number,"
