Ironman announces second Bolton race as organisers aim to make up for year off

The town is already preparing for the its annual Ironman race, which will take place on Sunday, July 4, and has been a mainstay in the area for over a decade.

But now, the planners behind the event have announced a second race, Ironman 70.3, to take place on September 26. The new race will be around half the distance of a traditional Ironman triathlon but is still set to be a gruelling challenge, taking in much of the usual route.
