Inspectors give new Ayr care home Christmas boost with report thumbs up

A new care home on the outskirts of Ayr has been handed the second-highest grading by the Care Inspectorate. Greenan Manor, which opened its doors in January, was graded ‘very good’ across seven quality indicators.

It’s the second-highest grading a nursing home can achieve with 1 being 'unsatisfactory' and 6 being 'excellent.'The service provides nursing and residential care for up to 52 people.At the time of this month’s inspection, there were six people living in the service.An extract from the Care Inspectorate report said: “We saw positive relationships had been established between residents and staff.
