Edith Bowman once revealed she was platonically "in love" with best pal Cat Deeley back in the day. Cat is back in the spotlight in the UK after taking on the job of hosting This Morning earlier this week alongside Ben Shephard.

The pair are the permanent replacements for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield after months of a rolling roster of stars fronting the ITV show.

Cat has been working in the US for more than a decade, where she's still the presenter of Fox's So You Think You Can Dance. But as well as keeping busy with her very high profile day job stateside over the last few years, Cat also hosted a podcast with pal Scots radio star Edith called Friends Will Be Friends, and they previously had a laugh addressing rumours that they once had a romantic relationship.

The pair have been the best of friends for decades after starting out in showbiz at the same time. Edith said on Angela Scanlon’s Thanks a Million podcast."We were really good mates, and we are really good mates still. "And it was like, 'Oh, Cat and Edith are in a lesbian relationship'."The rumours began when they were pictured leaving the Met bar in each other's arms after a fun-filled night."Photographs of us kind of holding each other up, coming out of the Met bar or whatever was because we were p****d it
