Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid is in her best shape ever, with adoring fans telling her how "gorgeous" she looks every time she posts a breakfast show selfie on Instagram. The journalist and TV star has slimmed down by more than 1.5 stone in recent years - and she credits her toned, fresh-faced look to one simple lifestyle change that has had a huge effect.

Susanna, 53, loves to run and still keeps up with dance workouts after her success on Strictly Come Dancing, but she says that the biggest effect on her health has been giving up the booze.Talking to Woman magazine about quitting alcohol, she said: "I stopped enjoying it.

I prefer life alcohol-free, it's tiring and the hangxiety got to me. I don't feel like I can plough on after pints of Guinness the night before." ITV's breakfast news anchor explained that getting up so early for work left her even less able to cope with hangovers and said that even if she had enjoyed a drink on the weekend, she began to feel her body was still processing it on Monday morning.

Mum-of-three Susanna added that now she relaxes and unwinds from her stressful job by spending time with sons Sam, 21, Finn, 19, and 18-year-old Jack.
